Ten-Pin Bowling
Ten-pin bowling has a huge fan following in Dubai. Dubai International Bowling Centre is a state-of-the-art bowling and recreation centre established in May 2001. It operates 36 synthetic Brunswick lanes at par with international standards in a facility which is the biggest and latest of its kind. Ten-pin bowling is also available at Al Nasr Leisureland and Magic Planet in the Mall of the Emirates.

Cycling
Cycling tours around the mountain enclave of Hatta offer a different sort of excursion. A series of interesting routes take the cyclist through dry river beds (wadis), remote villages and small farms, which is a refreshing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.  

Climbing
The rocky terrains off Dubai are a paradise for avid rock climbers. Fabulous rock climbing spots can be found in a number of locations close to Dubai, from easy routes for beginners, to very extreme grades. For those who don’t want to venture outdoors, there is a climbing wall at the Pharoah's Club in Wafi, with climbs of varying degrees of difficulty. It comprises a set of walls for climbing routes, as well as crash mats for safety during low-level climbs, with ropes in place on all routes. So what’s your limit?

Falconry
The art of falconry dates back to the 13th century BC. Originally, falcons were used for hunting, to supplement the Bedouin diet with some meat, like a hare or houbara. Nowadays, falconry is practiced purely for sport. The trapping and training of falcons requires skill, patience and a considerable amount of bravery. The potential danger, of course, is part of the attraction, as is the opportunity to have a close-up view of the power, grace and beauty of a falcon in flight. You can enjoy the splendor of this Bedouin sport at many of the desert camps.

Dubai is famous for its spirit of adventure. Water sports are an all-time favorite of the residents and tourists coming to Dubai. Cool off and indulge in a good swim in the waters of the Arabian Sea or be more adventurous and try sailing or scuba diving amongst the beautiful coral reefs.
